Our doctor is accredited by USDA-APHIS to perform international health certificates for your pets if you plan to import them into a different country. This process involves us researching the country of destination’s requirements for importation of companion animals, filling in the required forms, fulfilling any testing requirements (some countries require a Rabies titer test), microchipping and performing a complete physical examination of your pet/s to look for any contagious diseases. If all requirements are not met, your pet may be quarantined for several months once you reach your destination, or even worse, euthanized upon arrival. It is imperative that we follow all requirements by USDA AND the country of destination. You should start planning your travel several weeks in advance to allow time for completion of the process. Please call our office to initiate the process. The fee for this service is $250.
